Emma Dutton
Emma Dutton, an independent contractor and the President/Owner of GreenTree Training, specializes in providing customized training, consulting, quality management, and curriculum and course development services for ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17020 accredited laboratories and inspection bodies respectively, or for those that are pursuing accreditation.
As an instructor/instructional designer for 10 years with ANAB, Emma had the honor of training hundreds of forensic scientists in the areas of accreditation, auditing/assessment, uncertainty of measurement, and cause analysis, to name a few. Prior to ANAB, Emma served as the Quality Assurance Manager for Oregon State Police, Forensic Services Division for 11.5 years,
During this time, Emma gained extensive experience in forensic science and laboratory accreditation. Emma has been a member of ASCLD since 2005 and a member of AFQAM since 2003, serving as president elect/president/past president from 2004-2006.
Prior to her role as a Quality Assurance Manager and instructor, Emma spent approximately 8 years performing research studying Alzheimer’s disease, gingivitis and STDs. Emma has also served as an adjunct assistant professor at Western Oregon University and Oregon State University teaching general biology, microscopy, immunology and polygraphy. Dr. Dutton earned her Ph.D. in zoology, with an emphasis in cell-molecular neurobiology, from the University of Maryland, College Park, and completed post-doctorate research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the National Institutes of Health.
Emma resides with her husband and two very spoiled dogs in Monmouth, Oregon.
